Corn Exchange and the Learning Centre - temporary closure following updated Covid-19 regulations

Following the updated instructions from the government over the weekend, the Corn Exchange and the Learning Centre will close from Thursday 5 November until Thursday 3 December.

We understand you may be disappointed if you have booked to see a show or film. As a charity, the financial implications of having to close again are significant, having already suffered a substantial loss of income this year. We will be offering refunds, but we need the support of our audiences to get us through these difficult times. If you can afford to consider donating the cost of your tickets to our Save Your Corn Exchange – Fund the Future campaign, we would be truly grateful.

We will be contacting those who have booked tickets for events during this period in the order in which they were scheduled to take place. Please bear with us during this time as we have a large number of customers to contact.

We will be aiming to move as many of our workshops and classes as possible into an online format and will be in touch with all those who have booked to discuss this with them.

We know lots of you will have questions about our pantomime, Aladdin. We were due to begin rehearsals next week and are currently awaiting specific government guidance for our industry as to whether this will be allowed. Our sincere hope is that we will be able to begin our rehearsals, and although we will have to delay things slightly, that performances can begin as soon as reopening is permitted from 3 December.

We will keep you updated as the situation changes and thank you for your understanding and continued support at this challenging time.
